Along this road || a Hindi Poem | सड़क के किनारे… || हिन्दी कविता

March hasn’t even ended, yet the sun blazes fiercely in the sky. The scorching heat beats down on everyone and everything that walks this earth. I’m sure I’m not the only one craving a cool shower to escape this sweltering weather. This summer is so intense right from the start that it feels like May already. It reminded me of an old poem of mine, narrating the thoughts of a person walking down the road on a May afternoon.

There’s something so deeply reflective about the way you’ve captured the essence of life’s journey—it feels both personal and universal at the same time. I love how the imagery flows so effortlessly, making me visualize the road not just as a physical path but as an emotional one too. The subtle melancholic undertone, mixed with hope, makes it even more powerful. It’s like you’ve put into words the feeling of looking back while still moving forward. The rhythm of the poem is so smooth, almost like a gentle walk through one’s own memories. I especially loved the way you ended it—it leaves a lingering thought that stays with the reader. Poetry that makes you pause and reflect is always special, and this one did just that for me. Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt piece!
Bahot hi Sundar kabita ha ya. Dil chuk ka gaya. Kabi adbhut apki rachna na. Kya bat.
The summer sun has surely come, but thanks to the rain, some respite in Delhi as yet. Kisi majnu ne haseen raaz baatein honge…this one line am not going to forget. May and romance probably only go with a mad lover.
It is really very deep. Your imagination or experience or seen things…. whatever it is…you captured in your word very well. It is universal truth and relatable.
Aditya, you’ve captured the heat so powerfully that I could almost feel the sun beating down.
The way you blend the present with past stories on these roads is just so smooth. Your writing doesn’t just describe; it makes you stop and feel. Loved it.
Such a delightfully cool poem for summer sadko ! It made the heat almost bearable!
The road leading to our destination often becomes our muse and brings about such insightful reflections. Good one, Aditya.
Beautifully written! Love how this person’s mind meanders as he walks …. thinking of the hundreds who walked before him and their emotions!
So much depth in thought. Instead of thinking how hot it is and complaining, it is good to imagine who all might have walked the same path and the different emotions they carried. Loved your poem, Aditya. Please do compile them all, themewise, in a book.
Congrats on completing the whole season 1 of Blogaberry Dazzle 2025 Aditya!
